Happy New Year! I cannot believe it’s 2025!! With all the excitement of this new year, we also have to start thinking about next school year. I remember this time always being a little stressful trying to figure out what classes to take and making sure I have all the credits that are needed to graduate! Here are a few of my suggestions:
- Save as many of the “fun” classes you can for senior year! The art credits, gym class, things like that. If your gonna have to do a semester/year without a study hall, DON’T save it for senior year. Trust me, especially with open campus available, you don’t want your senior schedule filled with a ton of challenging classes and you’ll be wanting those study halls!
- Don’t worry about your classes for the next four years, just focus on next year. The school has you fill out all four years just so you can make sure you’re getting all your credits, but don’t get caught up in the details of what classes you might take in two years – you can always change your mind.
- Take advantage of dual credit opportunities. This can save you a lot of money and time in college!
- Summer school is not all that bad. It goes by really fast and is not that much work. Usually when you take the class in the summer, it is going to be easier than if you take it in the school year. It’s a great way to knock some easy classes out of the way so that you have room in your schedule for a study hall!
