The 2025 Spring Formal occurred on April 5th, occupying students’ Saturday with appointments and fun with friends. The tradition, repeated for many years at O’Gorman, holds a special place in each student’s heart as a time to converse and dance with friends.
The theme of “A Knight at Carnaval” did not disappoint, for each table was filled with masquerade masks and colorful beads. Hanging silver lights and colorful LEDs filled the room with light as students talked, danced, and took pictures.
For some, the formal was a chance to listen to music and dance with friends. For others, it was a great opportunity for photos and a great Instagram post at night’s end.
Many students feel that formal is a fun and social way to spend their Saturday. “Formal is so worth attending because most people go, and it’s a great way to spend time and have fun with your classmates,” said Senior Nora Boetel. “My favorite part of formal is getting all ready for the dance with my friends while listening to music and just spending time with them… that and dancing at the dance!!”
A Knight at Carnaval was a perfect celebration of friendship, fun and celebration of the nearly complete 2025 school year. Until next year, the Spring Formal will be a night students won’t forget.
