As the Class of 2025 prepares to walk across the graduation stage, they reflect on their O’Gorman experience as well as the overall impact of Catholic education. Many of this year’s seniors have been a part of Catholic schools throughout their entire academic careers, and many of them will be continuing their Catholic education as they go on to college.
It is no surprise that Catholic education is different from a normal education. At O’Gorman, students have access to a variety of opportunities that allow them to grow deeper in their relationship with God. “My favorite part of O’Gorman is having a chapel open all day for prayer, Mass, and confession” senior James Shea explained. The emphasis on faith goes hand and hand with the emphasis on academics, leaving the seniors appreciative of the support they received in both matters.
Some of the seniors have also felt the impact of Catholic education in their daily lives. The friendships centered in Christ, the support from faculty, and the comfort of being able to be open about faith have all been momentous takeaways from attending Catholic schools.”I am extremely grateful for my education” said senior Aubree Dowling. “It has shaped me into the person I am today”.
The unique presence of the faith in the halls of O’Gorman is prominent and deeply appreciated as the seniors prepare to take on a new chapter.
