Hey guys!
My name is Nora and I am a senior. I play soccer and track here at O’Gorman along with being a member of various clubs. I wanted to start this column to reflect over my years here at OG and give advice to those just starting high school or continuing to make their way through school.
For this month’s notes, my main advice is to get involved! As a freshman, it may be scary to try activities that your friends are not in, but that is how you branch out and meet new people. It makes high school a lot more fun. Going through the routine of waking up, going to school, going home, doing homework and going to bed gets old very quickly. Getting involved helps you feel more a part of the community that is offered here at O’Gorman. You may not realize it yet, but education and faith are not the only factors that set us apart.
Each year that I have been at O’Gorman, I have joined multiple clubs and/or tried a new activity. This year, I became a member of Hope Squad, am planning to be the team manager for the Lady Knights basketball team, and am going to try out for the spring musical. What can you get yourself more involved in this year?
